Job Description - Join our innovative, bright and talented team of BOLT Browser at Bitstream India. Our diverse customer and user base uses BOLT browser in nearly every kind of mobile device, from J2ME to BREW, Android etc.
As a Project Manager working at the Bitstream India Pvt Ltd group you will manage a small team of engineers and web standards experts. You will provide guidance and ensure good engineering, quality, and support processes are followed. You will work closely with the BOLT group at Bitstream’s headquarters in the U.S. to determine tasks and schedules and devise solutions for customers. You will track project schedules and ensure deadlines are met. You will also be responsible for the team’s performance reviews, as well as hiring.
· Creating business processes with respect to R&D functions and project management
· Training and guiding R&D team on processes and quality assurance tools and processes.
· Report generation for all the R&D projects
· Project review with senior management
· Statistical process control, Defect tracking and performing root cause analysis
· Understanding of product development lifecycle and related processes in R&D environment.
· Business process re-engineering and process formulation
· Identify and document the support required from various functions, project timelines, constraints and resources required
· Adjust project planning, as required, to include approved changes after obtaining required approval
· Conduct lessons learned session and develop recommendations for continuous improvement.
Desired Profile -
· Communicate and coordinate among project stakeholders, team members (across multiple locations) and with the management team concerning product delivery and release schedules.
· Manage project initiatives including the staffing, task assignments and tracking of projects
· Responsible for planning, tracking and delivery of the software releases and customer facing deliverables.
· Able to understand the technical requirements of the software development project. Perform high-level manpower and resource estimation for the project.
· Interface with senior management for project plans and delivery dates. Escalate any issues to the senior management well in time.
· Knowledge and use of different communication tools for remote meetings, coordination and issues tracking.
Level of experience -
· 5+ years of experience in Project Management. Ideal would be 8-10 years in software release planning and coordination.
· 5+ years of Experience in project planning, effort estimation and risk management.
· Excellent communication, coordination and facilitation skills. Should have experience working with team of 10-15 developers for projects or products in mobile domain.
· Telecom carrier/operator business experience a must. Relevant experience in mobile application vendor domain for 2+ years.
· Hands on experience on Mobile application development experience a plus.
· Good spoken and written communication skills.
· Strong Knowledge about Microsoft Project, Excel, Word.
